Huskers Set to Host Indiana, Purdue



The No. 71 Nebraska women’s tennis team (12-4, 1-2 Big Ten) is set to welcome Indiana on Friday at noon and Purdue on Sunday at 11 a.m. Both matches are in central time and streaming/stats information will be on huskers.com. Updates for the matchups will also be posted on Twitter at HuskerWTennis.

Scouting Indiana (10-6, 1-3 Big Ten)

• The Hoosiers ended the 2021-2022 season with an overall record of 10-15, including a 3-8 Big Ten record. 

• This is Head Coach Ramiro Azcui’s seventh season with Indiana.

• Indiana has a roster of one freshman, one redshirt sophomore, three redshirt juniors and two graduate students. 

Series History with Indiana

• The Huskers have a 5-3 all-time record against the Hoosiers.  

• The last time NU met Indiana on the court was in 2022 and Nebraska won the match 4-3. 

Scouting Purdue (11-4, 2-2 Big Ten)

• Last season, the Boilermakers finished with a 12-13 overall record, including a 3-8 conference record. 

• Laura Glitz, Purdue’s winningest coach, enters her 16th season at Purdue.

• The Boilermakers have a roster consisting of three freshmen, three sophomores, one junior and two seniors.

Series History with Purdue

• NU has a 6-6 record all time against Purdue.

• The last time the teams matched up was in 2022 and the Huskers won the match 4-0.

Quick Notes

• The doubles team of Raphaëlle Lacasse and Samantha Alicea just earned their tenth straight doubles win. The duo is undefeated on the season.
