Wisconsin Invitational Saturday Results – University of Nebraska

The Nebraska women’s tennis team wrapped up the second day at the Wisconsin Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Huskers earned two doubles wins including one over Wisconsin and one over Iowa. NU also recorded two singles victories against Iowa.

All three doubles matches against Wisconsin were neck and neck with one falling the Huskers way. The Husker duo of Chloe Kuckelman and Hayley Haakenstad teamed up to give Nebraska a 7-6 (4) triumph over the Badger team of Charmaine Seah and Nastasya Semenovski. Maja Makoric and Jessica Aragon paired up to defeat the Iowa team of Michelle Bacalla Danielle Burich 6-4.

Two Husker seniors recorded singles wins over Iowa. Emma Worley was victorious in a 6-4, 6-4 matchup against Danielle Bauers and Hayley Haakenstad defeated Michelle Bacalla 6-4, 6-3. 

Play continues Sunday as the Huskers take on Minnesota in singles at 9 a.m., followed by doubles against Iowa at noon.
