Five Reasons Nebraska Will Win: Penn State

Finally the first Husker home game!

This is also going to be the first win for Nebraska in 2020.

Here are the reasons why:

If you got nothing else out of last week’s game against Northwestern, you should’ve caught on to the fact that Luke Reimer was all over the field. He led the Huskers with 10 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, 1 sack and a forced fumble in his first start. With Luke along with Jojo Domann, Will Honas, and Collin Miller this group is going to make a difference on Saturday.

While Husker fans were painfully watching Nebraska fail to score during multiple trips to the red zone last week, they weren’t alone. Penn State is also not doing well when they get down the field.

Nebraksa is ranked 12th in the BIG 10 in red zone offense and Penn State is ranked 13th. The Husker defense can capitalize on the weakness of the Nittany Lions and will come away with a win.

We are all waiting to see whether Nebraska’s starting quarterback will be Adrian Martinez or Luke McCaffrey. This is painful to some, but it does have a benefit. Penn State doesn’t know which quarterback they will be seeing on Saturday either. They’ve had to prepare for both quarterbacks. This makes them less prepared for either.

Finally the Huskers get a the home field advantage. Even though the 90,000 screaming fans will be missing, the familiarity of Memorial Stadium is a benefit to Nebraska. And don’t forget the cutouts will be there ready to cheer on the home team.

In the preseason, Penn State was thought to be a team that could possibly make the College Football Playoffs. Now, three games in, they have yet to win a game. What are they playing for?

Nebraska on the other hand is a team that was just fighting to play. They faced a lot of ridicule for wanting to play and got dealt a tough hand with the schedule. They are two games in and have yet to show the team that they believe they are. The Huskers have everything to play for.

Nebraska will be rocking Memorial Stadium on Saturday with a win.
