Big Ten Announces Conference Bracket



The seedings and bracket for the 2022 Big Ten Women’s Tennis Tournament was announced on Sunday. The University of Iowa will host the event at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex with competition starting on Wednesday. Nebraska secured the sixth seed and will face the winner of No. 11 Purdue and No. 14 Rutgers on Thursday, April 28 at 12:00 p.m. CT.

The tournament will begin on Wednesday, April 27 with the two first round matches between No. 11 Purdue/No. 14 Rutgers and No. 12 Iowa/No. 13 Michigan State. Four second round matches will be played on Thursday, four quarterfinal matches on Friday, and the two semifinals matches will take place on Saturday. The Big Ten Championship match will be the lone dual on Sunday.

Ohio State, the No. 10-ranked team in the nation, won the Big Ten regular season title with an 11-0 record in conference play and secured the No. 1 seed for this year’s tournament. Michigan (#23), Northwestern (#39), Wisconsin (#45) and Illinois (#47) round out the top five teams.
