2026 Offensive Lineman Avery Morcho Talks Huskers Offer

Nebraska football has its sights set on a big offensive lineman from Texas who has earned some lofty rankings after his sophomore high school season.

Avery Morcho is his name, and he is ranked by On3 as the No. 166 overall player in the recruiting class of 2026 and the No. 13 offensive tackle.

Morcho will be a junior this fall at Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas. Measuring in around 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, he would be a big pickup for the Huskers both literally and figuratively.

Morcho recently caught up with HuskerMax about his offer from the Cornhuskers.

“What makes Nebraska unique in my opinion is their amazing legacy and fans,” Morcho stated. “Because the fanbase has already shown me some love and also how they sell out the majority of their games, that sticks out to me.”

Donovan Raiola is the Huskers’ offensive line coach, but Morcho says he has been in contact with multiple members of second-year head coach Matt Rhule’s staff.

“I’ve enjoyed my conversation with all of the coaches so far,” Morcho said. “They haven’t had a specific pitch to me really … they are just trying to build connections and relationships with me as I’m doing the same with them.”

With two years of high school ball still ahead of him, Morcho also holds offers from Houston, TCU and Texas Tech, according to On3 and 247Sports.
