Zion Paret Hopeful to Take an Official Visit to Nebraska

Nebraska has recently been targeting a specific 2025 recruit at the cornerback position. As of late, they have had a huge pipeline from the state of Florida as they have been recruiting down south heavily due to the big recruiting pool of talented players and the connections they may have to each other. One future commitment could be a domino effect in favor of the Huskers.

That cornerback’s name is Zion Paret. Paret is from Miami Central High School in Miami, Florida. He is a class of 2025 prospect and is a three-star who measures in at around 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds. He holds many offers including Nebraska, Western Kentucky, Oregon, and more.

Following his Husker offer he spoke with HuskerMax.

“It was crazy because I got 2 other offers that day but the Nebraska offer was the last one and it was like the cherry on top. I was hyped about that one for sure,” Paret said.

He was asked about what makes Nebraska unique.

“Shoot it’s Nebraska. That program has a rich tradition of top ball players coming out of there, from Tommie Frazier to Ndamukong Suh and even Eric Crouch because I played QB before transitioning to DB.”

Paret stated the coach he had the chance to speak with.

“Coach (Phil) Simpson (Defensive Quality Control) came by my school and pulled me out of class. He said he liked my film and thinks I’ll be a good fit for the program. I really enjoyed our conversation. It was basically him telling me about the guys from Miami who are headed there and who are already there and how they are going to build something special in Lincoln.”

“I’ve been taking a few visits during spring break, but it’s going to be challenging to make it out to Nebraska because of the distance how intense my track schedule is, and the fact that spring football is about to start. But hopefully, I can set a visit up for this summer.”

He was asked about a potential official visit.

“Of course, I would. I’d love to make it out there to check out the campus and the facilities. It’ll be an experience I’m sure. I’d love to stand in that stadium and soak up that atmosphere.”

He hopes to set a commitment date this spring!
