#ProBigRed: Huskers in the NFL – Wild Card Round

Former Blackshirts and current teammates Lavonte David and Ndamukong Suh (Bucs) highlighted the Wild Card Weekend of Huskers in the NFL. David started at inside linebacker, playing the entire game and notching nine total tackles, including a sack, and a pass deflection. Suh started on the defensive line and helped out with three total tackles and a QB hurry. 

A complete list of statistics from former Huskers in the NFL Playoffs is below. Eight former Huskers competed in the NFL Playoffs which began this past weekend, including: Carlos Davis (Steelers), Will Compton and Joshua Kalu (Titans), Sam Koch (Ravens), Andy Janovich (Browns) and David, Suh and Khalil Davis (Bucs).


HUSKERS IN THE AFC



AFC NORTH

Baltimore Ravens (W, 20-13 at Tennessee) 

P Sam Koch: Punted twice on the day after returning from the COVID-19 list. Averaged 50 yards per punt.


 

cleveland browns

    Cleveland Browns (W, 48-37 at Pittsburgh)

FB Andy Janovich: Saw action on 25 total snaps, including 21 on special teams.

   

steelers

   Pittsburgh Steelers (L, 48-37 vs. Cleveland)

DL Carlos Davis: Saw action on 7 total snaps, including 5 on defense.



AFC SOUTH

Tennessee Titans (L, 20-13 vs. Baltimore) 

CB Joshua Kalu: Saw action on 12 special teams snaps.

LB Will Compton: Saw action on 21 total snaps, including 19 on special teams.


 

HUSKERS IN THE NFC



NFC SOUTH

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers (W, 31-23 at Washington)

LB Lavonte David: Started at inside linebacker and played the entire game.

David led all Buccaneers with nine total tackles, including one sack for 11 yards, a pass deflection and a QB hurry.

DL Khalil Davis: Saw action on 22 total snaps, including 18 on defense.

 

DT Ndamukong Suh: Started on the defensive line and played 60 snaps. Totaled three tackles and a QB hurry.
