Nebrasketball: Huskers Beat the Cyclones in “Secret Scrimmage”

Huskers pull off preseason win against the Cyclones

The Huskers played the Iowa State Cyclones in a “secret scrimmage” on Sunday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. Nebraska ended up pulling away with a 92-84 win. A nice end result against a team that went 24-11 last year and finished the season ranked in the top 25.

Most teams do these scrimmages once or twice before the season starts. It’s a good time to work on play and get some kinks out. The Huskers seemed to do just that on Sunday.

Iowa State played Nebraska close for most of the game and the lead went back and fourth throughout. However, hot shooting and a strong defense pulled the victory in favor of the Huskers.
