Nebrasketball: Dachon Burke Jr. Heading to Southern Alabama

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

The Guard announced he was planning to transfer and entered the portal a week ago today.

Dachon Burke Jr. already announced earlier this month he would be leaving the team to focus on his studies and pursue a graduate transfer. With that in mind, he formally entered the transfer portal a week ago on March 21st. It didn’t take him long to settle on a new destination as multiple reports were confirmed by the Lincoln Journal Star Burke is headed to the South Alabama Jaguars.

Burke was one of just two playovers still on the roster from Head Coach Tim Miles tenure. The other being Thorir Thorbjarnarson, but unlike Thor, Burke did not play last season due to sitting out as a transfer player. Burke originally came to Nebraska from Robert Morris, where he excelled for two seasons before transferring to UNL.
