Nebraska to Host Intrasquad Meet at Allen Training Complex



Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team will host its intrasquad Monday at 4 p.m. in the Allen Training Complex. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Admission to the event is free and open to the public, as attendees will get a look at the Huskers’ routines before the season begins in January. 

The event will feature routines on all four events in Olympic order beginning on vault, followed by uneven bars, balance beam and concluding on floor exercise. This year’s schedule poster, featuring the entire team, will also be available. 

This year’s squad is made up of 18 gymnasts, including 11 returners and seven rookies. The Husker veterans include first-team All-Big Ten selection Kynsee Roby, second-team All-Big Ten selection Anika Dujakovich, and NCAA regional qualifiers Kinsey Davis, Kaitlyn Higgins, Kathryn Thaler and Kylie Piringer

Other returners include Nebraska Scholar-Athletes Makayla Curtis, Clara Colombo, Martina Comin, Joanne De Jesus-Cortes, and Caroline Williams

The NU newcomers include Genesis Gibson (Prosper, Texas), Ayzhia Hall (Rogers, Ark.), Katie Kuenemann (Longview, Texas), Emma Spence (Cambridge, Ontario), Emma Simpton (Dallas, Texas), Halle Rourke (Waverly, Neb.) and Savanah Warren (Parker, Colo.).
