Huskers Finish Season at NCAA Regionals



The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team finished its season at the NCAA Regional Second Round with a 195.525. No. 6 LSU and No. 11 Oregon State advanced to the NCAA Regional Final, both tallying a 197.375. No. 19 Georgia finished in third with a 197.000.

Rotation One 

The Huskers started the afternoon on vault, earning a team score of 48.950. Emma Spence and Kinsey Davis led the way with a score of 9.825 followed by Martina Comin who tallied a 9.800. Ayzhia Hall and Katie Kuenemann added a 9.750 while Sophia McClelland finished with a 9.675.

Madi Dagen of Oregon State recorded a session-best 9.900 on vault. 

Rotation Two

Nebraska moved to uneven bars, finishing with a 48.675. Spence led the Big Red with a 9.825 followed by Clara Colombo earning a 9.775. McClelland tallied a 9.750 while Genesis Gibson earned a 9.725. Davis recorded a 9.600 while Emma Simpton rounded out the rotation with a 9.200. 

Haleigh Bryant of LSU earned the best uneven bars score with a 9.925. 

Rotation Three

NU earned a 48.625 on balance beam during rotation three. McClelland led the Huskers with a 9.875, and Spence added a 9.825. Colombo finished with a 9.775 while Hall earned a 9.750. Gard tallied a 9.400 while Simpton rounded out the rotation with a 9.000. 

Bryant also claimed a session-best score on beam with a 9.950. 

Rotation Four 

The Big Red finished the meet on floor, notching a 49.275. Kylie Piringer and McClelland led the way with a score of 9.900. Spence added a 9.850 while Kuenemann finished with a 9.825. Comin earned a 9.800, and Halle Rourke finished the rotation with a 9.700. 

Jade Carey of Oregon State finished with the best floor score, claiming a 9.975. 

All-Around

Spence finished in the all-around with a 39.325. McClelland added a 39.200 in the all-around competition. 

Bryant claimed a session-best score in the all-around, finishing with a 39.700.
