Nebraska Fifth In March Poll



Lincoln – The Nebraska bowling team is ranked fifth in the March NTCA Coaches Poll released directly before the Music City Classic.

The Huskers fell to fifth in the National Tenpin Coaches Association Poll released Thursday, March 4. McKendree remains ranked first overall followed by Arkansas State, Vanderbilt, North Carolina A&T and Nebraska rounding out the top five.

NU holds a record of 25-12 this season after three tournaments. The team has two third-place finishes and one fourth-place finish. This season, NU has had eight different bowlers compete as multiple have won numerous awards. Recently, Kayla Verstraete (3rd), Crystall Elliott (4th) and Cassidy Ray (7th) all placed at the Big Red Invitational.

The Huskers are competing today at the Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn.
