Huskers Sign Lars Johann – University of Nebraska



The Nebraska men’s tennis team will welcome another member to its ranks for the 2020-21 season with the addition of Lars Johann. The Saarland, Germany native will look to make an immediate impact in his debut season.

Johann brings an impressive resume to Nebraska. Currently, he is ranked No. 102 in the men’s German standings and has a career best ranking at No. 2 in the German U16 and reached as high as No. 4 in the U18 German ranking. Johann was the state champion in Saarland and reached the semifinals at the U18 German championships two times. 

Lars joins Olathe, Kan. native and Iowa transfer, Rudra Dixit, Fresno State graduate transfer, Dario Huber, Finland native, Roni Hieteranta, and fellow German, Calvin Mueller, as newcomers starting this fall.
