Huskers Set for Regular Season Finale



The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team (6-7, 4-4 Big Ten) travel to No. 14 Denver to take on DU, No. 12 Oregon State and No. 18 Arkansas in a quad meet for the final regular season meet of the year. The meet will take place at the Magness Arena starting at 2 p.m. CT. 

 

Last Time Out

NU is coming off of a second-place finish at the Masters Classic. The Huskers earned a team score of 194.925 in the final meet of the season at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. 

 

Sophomore Martina Comin returned to action, claiming the vault title after notching a personal-best 9.900. Senior Kynsee Roby added an impressive performance on beam, claiming the event title with a 9.900. Freshman Emma Spence earned her third all-around title of the year, finishing the meet with a 39.200. 
 

Scouting the Competition

No. 14 Denver is coming off of a win against Penn State, Southern  Utah and Cornell, where they notched a 197.075, their second-highest team score of the year. Sophomore Jessica Hutchinson led DU with the all-around title (39.525), extending her win-streak to five. 

 

No. 12 Oregon State claimed a share of the regular season PAC-12 Championship after picking up five consecutive wins. Freshman Jade Carey leads the Beavers, claiming her eight all-around titles.  

 

No. 18 Arkansas are coming off a third-place finish at the Elevate the Stage meet agains Alabama, Auburn and Georgia. The Razorbacks tied their third-highest score of the season with a 196.800.
