Huskers Ready for No. 23 Ohio State



The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team (2-2, 1-1 Big Ten) is set to host Ohio State (2-2, 2-0 Big Ten) Monday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. CT at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. 

 

The last time the two teams met was in 2021 when Ohio State won narrowly 195.225-195.175. The Huskers currently lead the series 21-15. 

 

Last Time Out

NU claimed a Big Ten win at home, outscoring Illinois, 195.500-195.450. The Huskers came from behind in the final rotation for the Big Ten win. 

 

Seniors Kynsee Roby and Makayla Curtis led the Huskers against the Illini. Roby claimed the beam title, notching a 9.850 while Curtis claimed the floor title with a season-high 9.850. 
 

Scouting the Competition

Ohio State started their season at Arkansas, falling in a close meet 195.025-195.450. The Buckeyes hosted Denver in Week 2, falling 195.750-196.600. OSU has picked up two consecutive wins against Big Ten opponents, earning victories against Penn State and Rutgers. 

 

The Buckeyes are led by sophomore Nicole Riccardi, who claimed the uneven bars title with a score of 9.900 against Rutgers. Junior Elexis Edwards and freshman Jenna Hlavach both notched a 9.925 on floor to share the event title.
