Huskers Look Forward to Rancher Invite

The Nebraska men’s tennis team travels to Los Angeles this weekend to compete at the Rancher Invite. The tournament will be held at the North Ranch County Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif., with play beginning Friday morning.

Nebraska will send four players to the tournament including seniors William Gleason and Victor Moreno Lozano, as well as sophomore Nic Wiedenhorn and freshman Roni Hietaranta.

Lozano went 3-0 in singles play last weekend at the Oklahoma State Invite as he was one of five Huskers to do so. He teamed with Gleason and they finished 2-0 as a duo with Gleason also going 2-1 in singles action.

Wiedenhorn went 2-1 in singles play last weekend while boasting a 1-1 doubles record. Hietaranta impressed in his first matches as a Husker going 3-0 in both doubles and singles action. All four Huskers are coming off spectacular weekends and will look to build off their performances from the OSU Invite.
