Big Ten Men’s Tennis Bracket Released

The Big Ten Conference announced the seedings and bracket for the 2023 Big Ten Men’s Tennis Tournament on Sunday. The tournament will be hosted at the Indiana University’s Tennis Center in Bloomington, Ind. For the second straight season, the Huskers secured the fifth seed overall and will take on No. 4 seed Illinois in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 28 at 10 a.m. CT.

Nebraska heads into the tournament coming off a 4-3 victory on Saturday against Wisconsin. The Huskers’ five conference wins ties a program record for the most Big Ten wins in a season, which was set last year. Nebraska has already played Illinois once this year, losing 4-2 in Urbana-Champaign, Ill.

Ohio State, the Big Ten champions, clinched the top seed in the tournament with a 9-0 conference record. Michigan grabbed the second seed, thanks to an 8-1 conference record.

Tournament action gets underway on Thursday as No. 8 Penn State plays No. 9 Indiana, with the winner playing Ohio State on Friday. No. 7 Michigan State faces off against No. 10 Purdue shortly after, with the winner playing Michigan.
