Huskers Land In Second On Day One



Dallas, Texas – The Nebraska bowling team sits in second place after day one at the Prairie View Invitational.

In their first matchup of the day, the Huskers took their first win of the day in a match against Prairie View A&M by 992-879. Following their first victory of the day, NU took another win against No. 1 Sam Houston State (1,028-937). Keeping with the momentum from their first two wins, Nebraska took another win against No. 5 Vanderbilt (1,083-1,074). In match four, NU took their fourth win in a row against No. 2 McKendree by a score of 1,101-1,049. In the final match of the day, the Huskers took their only loss of the day against No. 7 Louisiana Tech (990-1,049).

Day two will start with Traditional style starting with a match against Arkansas State. NU will then go on to play Sacred Heart, Tulane, Fairleigh Dickinson, and end the day with a final matchup against North Carolina A&T.

The Nebraksa bowling team will have a Traditional style positional round matchup to begin day two of the tournament at 9:25 a.m.
