Huskers Debut at West Point Open




Ranked No. 2 in the preseason poll, the Nebraska Huskers return back to competition for the 2023 season this Friday, January 13 & Saturday, January 14 in West Point, N.Y. to battle against Army, Navy, Penn State, and Springfield. Competition is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. CT at the Holleder Center.

Last Time Out

Nebraska enters the 2023 season after taking a fourthplace finish for the second consecutive year in the NCAA Championship Finals and second-place at the Big Ten Championships. The Huskers return 12 gymnasts from the previous season, including two returning All-Americans, Taylor Christopulos and Donte McKinney. NU introduces five newcomers to the roster for 2023.

Scouting the Competition

The Big Red is set to face four collegiate teams for the upcoming competition in their season debut at the West Point Open including Army, Navy, Penn State, and Springfield College. Penn State, a Big Ten Conference competitor, is ranked No. 4 in the preseason poll looking ahead to competition this weekend. Ranked No. 2 behind Michigan, Nebraska looks to make a big impact this weekend after earning a total of 22 individual titles last season and seek to gain momentum for the upcoming 2023 season.
