Husker Bowlers Lauded for Academic Achievement



Lincoln – Seven University of Nebraska bowlers were honored for their classroom achievements over the past year, as the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) announced its All-Academic team on Friday.
 
The Huskers honored include Alexa Fernandez, Leah Glazer, Kendyl Hofmeister, Gwen Maeha, Allison Morris, Estefania Prieto and Cassidy Ray. To earn recognition, the student-athletes had to a have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or better for the 2019-20 academic year. In all, 380 bowlers from around the country were recognized by the coaches association.
 
As a team, the Huskers also received recognition with a team GPA of 3.465 during the 2019-20 academic year, including a 3.54 GPA during the spring semester. To receive the team honor, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or better for the academic year.
