Frosted Flakes: Hate for the Greats

Is it just human nature to hate those that are great?

While watching the Super Bowl, I commented to my husband on the amount of hate Tom Brady gets. With now seven rings, it is hard to deny that he is great.

I really have no strong feelings about him one way or another, but I do question why there is always so much hate for those athletes who are great?

Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, all three are amazing athletes, but all three seem to garner a fair amount of hate.

Is it that they make it harder for our favorite teams to win? Is it that we don’t think it’s fair that they’ve won so many times? Is it jealousy? Do we just not like to let people stay on their mountain for very long?

I’m not sure I’ll every have the answers to these questions, but I do think it’s something to consider.

Now onto the flakes.
