The first “coaching” change happened yesterday as we learned that special teams analyst Jonathan Rutledge and Nebraska will be going in a different direction.

While there was a substantial improvement in the kicking game with the addition on Connor Culp, Nebraska ranked 111th in the country in net punting average.

That’s not ideal.

As Jonathan said in his interview with Mitch Sherman….it’s kind of hard to coach special teams when you can’t be on the field.
