Brian Bonner Jr. Talks Nebraska Offer

Nebraska has been on a mission as of late when it comes to recruiting underclassmen as the Huskers continue to set a high standard and make a statement in the world of recruiting.

Without recruiting there is no college football, and typically the better you recruit the better you do, some may say.

Nebraska landed a high-caliber player last recruiting class (2024) by the name of Dylan Raiola. Landing guys like that will make a huge statement not only for your program as a whole but for your recruiting department as well.

Recruiting underclassmen plays a huge part in the process because as they grow older it will be their turn to shine. It’s always nice to have an upper hand due to the constant stability in a relationship with these recruits.

Brian Bonner Jr. is a class of 2026 running back from Valencia High School in Valencia, California. California is typically a high-level state for producing talent. We have seen it in the past with players such as Malachi Nelson and Nico Iamaleava.

Bonner measures in at around 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds and holds offers from a number of schools, including UCLA, Stanford, California and now Nebraska.

Below is his offer post.

He spoke with HuskerMax about the offer.

“Nebraska’s unique because unlike other cities like LA where there’s the Rams and Lakers. Nebraska got the football team which is huge there,” Bonner said.

“When I received the Nebraska offer I was really excited and blessed.”

He talked about the coach he connected with.

“I connected with the RB coach EJ Barthel and he’s a great coach! We are trying to plan a visit to Nebraska soon.”

He said he doesn’t have any top schools right now, but he did have  an encouraging statement for Husker fans.

“I don’t have any top schools, but I like Nebraska!”
