Nebraska Wins Season Finale 11-8, Fails To Qualify For Big Ten Tournament

Champaign, Il- The 2018 Nebraska Baseball (24-28, 8-14 Big Ten) team finished their season Saturday with a 11-8 win over the Illinois Fighting Illini. Nebraska for the first time, fails to qualify for the Big Ten Tournament, and ends the season four games under .500.

With Seniors Brison Cronenbold, Scott Schreiber, Zac Repinski, Matt Warren, and Jake Hohensee, the Huskers sent them away as winners.

Warren, started the game and got through five innings while allowing three runs. He was effective, and efficient and provided the Huskers with a chance to win.

Illinois scored the first three runs of the game. Bren Spillane scored on a hit and run single in the first. In the second, Illinois added a pair when Jack Yalowitz hit a two run home run.
