What is the ceiling for Nebraska football in the long term? Will we ever be at the level of an Alabama or Ohio St? Probably not. But we don’t need to be.

First off. I’m a Husker fan in California, so I barely get to talk NEB football, which is why I’m here!

It is highly unlikely that if everything goes right for Frost in the coming years that he will turn us into the next Alabama or Ohio State. Those are GENERATIONAL programs experiencing a golden age. Not to mention it’s tougher (but not impossible) to recruit to Nebraska. So what’s the ceiling?

In my opinion, Frost can elevate us to the level of a Penn State or a Wisconsin. Consistently a top 15 team that plays in the B1G championship fairly often, and winning it now and then. Respected nationally, playing in big games often. Also, I think with Frost as with PSU and WIS, every few years he will put together a great team that can contend for a natty. I’d be completely satisfied with this, and I think he will do it in the long term.

I don’t get to have these convos with people in my state, so I’d love to hear your opinions and whether you agree or disagree with me!
