What if we beat Oklahoma?

What if we end up winning 8 or 9 games? Yes, yes, I know it’s a long shot, to say the least, but I think we all also know that anything can happen in college football. I posit this just because I’d dearly love to see all the haters I’ve seen on here eat crow. I’m positively aghast at all the vitriol I’ve seen on here since last week’s debacle. So many people calling for Scott’s head, but could they really do any better? I freaking doubt it! As an alumni and self-professed super-fanatic, I don’t really live for much outside of seeing the Huskers’ success. It has been absolutely hellish to watch the mediocrity and bad decisions on coaching changes over the years, firing Solich after winning 9 games when I was going to school being the most egregious, but seriously the current coaching staff is simply our best chance to stay relevant and Trev is exactly right, excellence takes time. We happen to be in VERY tough league and always seem to be fighting the world. Do we really have to denigrate and deride these kids and this coach who want nothing more than to prove the dickheads like Paul Finebaum wrong.? Just what exactly are we accomplishing? By the way, the team should use his comments as the ultimate bulletin board material and shove it up is pretentious ass!
