Want your Options on these two

So after the dumpster fire that was this weekend i once again found my self in the familiar mind set of who is next after Frost. After I started dreaming of all the coaches that we will never get to come to Lincoln ( Urban Meyer, Joe Brady, Matt Ruhl, Campbell ect.) I started to look at some real prospects and the two names that I came across that I really liked were Billy Napier and Marcus Freeman here is why.

Billy Napier: This is purely based on his coaching pedigree he has been at 2 of the most successful programs in the the best 10 years in Alabama ( Analyst and TE/WR coach) and Clemson ( TE,QB and OC) He we obviously very successful at both places. His head coaching record is 35-12 not amazing especially in a group of 5 conference but he has got them to a bowl game every year and has shown progression.

Marcus Freeman: This one is very interesting to me he is a former Ohio State player so he knows the Big Ten and has very limited NFL experience (practice squad). Coaching pedigree is not as impressive in terms of prestige but some BIG Ten coaching experience ( Ohio St (GA) and Purdue (LB’s Coach and Co DC)) coupled with an impressive stent at Cincinnati ( DC and LB’s Coach) and a promising start to his tenure at Norte Dame is enough to interest me. Another aspect to him is he is a noted amazing recruiter and he has been recruiting the Midwest successfully all of his coaching career. We have seen what can happen in Lincoln when we get a good recruiter. Say what you want about Reilly and his staff’s ability to develop but they could recruit well.

I think either of these would be and interesting choice for a head coach curious on your thoughts.
