The Minnesota and Wisconsin Games are the Most Important of Frost’s Tenure

I recognize that after the last couple games Frost is probably returning and I am fine with it (if not enthusiastic and willing to give extensions like most)–there is clear progress and that matters

But for gauging his actual ability to take us anywhere the two games remaining that are most important are Wisconsin and Minnesota–NOT Iowa and Ohio State as they may appear

This is a senior laden defense that will lose quite a bit next season with a senior QB. I don’t think anyone would dispute that this is Frost’s best team by a large margin

Meanwhile Paul Chryst has his worst team since becoming HC at Wisconsin and PJ Fleck has his second worst team (worst being his first season) at Minnesota with its injuries

If Frost in year 4 with his best team can’t beat Paul Chryst with his worst team is it fair to question if/when it will ever happen?

Like when Pelini couldn’t win the BIG 10 over a 7-5 unranked Wisconsin team that was only there because Ohio State and Penn State were sanctioned?

I don’t care nearly as much about the Iowa and Ohio State games (with regards to evaluating Frost) as I do about these two

Am I missing something?
