Suspect In Stable Condition After Being Shot by Deputy U.S. Marshal

A twenty-five year old man wanted on a warrant was shot in Lincoln by a deputy U.S. Marshal as he rammed four vehicles including a police cruiser and the deputy’s vehicle. Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister says that one officer received minor injuries as he tried to avoid being hit in the Friday incident.

Twenty five year old Thomas Sailors was arrested a short time later when he arrived in the stolen vehicle at a Lincoln hospital. He is currently in stable condition.

Chief Bliemeister says a follow up investigation shows that no shots were shot by the uniformed Lincoln Police Officers. The investigation leading to the officer involved shooting is being completed by the Lincoln Police Department and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.
