Offensive lineman Nick Gates (Giants) highlighted the Huskers in the NFL offensively in Week 7, starting at center. Gates played the entire game and helped the Giants rush for 167 yards and pass for another 187.

Defensively, teammates Lavonte David and Nate Gerry (Eagles) were the top Blackshirts over the weekend. David recorded eight tackles. Gerry led the Eagles with seven tackles, including one sack.
