Photo: Warren Buffett Makes First Ever Sports Bet On Nebraska -12.5, Wins $500

Warren Buffett is worth over $67 billion, but he didn’t make his fortune gambling on sports. In fact, Buffett reportedly placed his first sports bet this weekend, laying $550 on his home-state Nebraska Cornhuskers to cover a 12.5 point spread at Fresno State. Naturally, it worked out for him. Nebraska won easily, 55-19, and Buffett is a few hundred bucks richer.

Nebraska opened as a 7.5 point favorite at home against Miami this coming weekend. Maybe Buffett will double his luck with one of the Big Ten’s last remaining undefeated teams.
