NU Preps for Mid-Winter Invitational



Lincoln, Neb – The Nebraska bowling team will travel to Jonesboro, Arkansas to compete at the Mid-Winter Invitational this Friday through Sunday, February 18-20.

Twelve of the top 25 teams rated by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) will be joining the Huskers this weekend, with an additional six teams. The teams competing with Nebraska include No. 1 McKendree, No. 5 Louisiana Tech, No. 7 Arkansas St., No. 8 Stephen F. Austin, No. 9 Youngstown St., No. 13 Maryville, No. 15 Tulane, No. 19 Sacred Heart, No. 20 Lewis, No. 21 Lincoln Memorial, No. 22 Wisconsin Whitewater, Alabama A&M, Alabama St., Drury, Jackson St., Kentucky Wesleyan, and Tusculum.

The Huskers will start the tournament with Baker format against Tulane. They will then go on to play against Tusculum, Kentucky Wesleyan, McKendree, and finish the day against Arkansas St.

On Saturday, Nebraska will play traditional-style starting with a Position Round. They will then play against Jackson St., Maryville, Youngstown St., and Wisconsin Whitewater.

Bowling will begin at 10 a.m. Friday morning with five baker matches. The tournament will resume with five traditional games at 9:40 am Saturday before finishing with three bracket-style games Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
