Nebraska Sophomore Safety LeRoy Alexander Suspended For Entire 2014 Season

Nebraska will be without safety LeRoy Alexander for the entire 2014 season, the program announced today. Alexander, a sophomore defensive back, has been suspended by the school. No specific reason for the punishment was given.

Alexander was expected by many to be a starter in the secondary. The Toledo, Ohio native played in all of Nebraska’s games last season, recording 34 tackles.
This is the second big loss for the Huskers’ secondary, as nickelback corner Charles Jackson is out for the season due to a a knee injury. 
Nebraska opens the 2014 season Aug. 30 against Florida Atlantic.
