Nebraska football makes scholarship offer to Westside athlete Teddy Rezac

Nebraska football has offered another athlete on the state’s defending Class A champions.

Teddy Rezac, a receiver and defensive back for Omaha Westside, got the scholarship offer from NU on Thursday afternoon, just days after offers from Notre Dame and Missouri.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder had 434 yards receiving and two interceptions for a loaded Warrior team that won the Class A state title in 2022. Teddy’s older brother, Dominic, is a linebacker at Vanderbilt, and Teddy’s twin brother, Anthony, is the team’s quarterback with offers from service academies. Teddy’s teammate, Caleb Benning, also has a Husker scholarship offer for the 2024 recruiting class.

With Teddy Rezac, the Huskers may be playing catch-up to the Irish, which had two staff members at Westside last week. The three-star prospect told On3 that Irish defensive coordinator Al Golden — once the boss, at Temple, of Husker coach Matt Rhule — liked his length and athleticism. Notre Dame rapidly set up a visit for the Rezac family and extended the offer. Missouri jumped in the boat, too.

Before then, Rezac’s top offers were from Boston College and Coastal Carolina.
