LINCOLN — Nebraskans worry. We mull. We ruminate. And perhaps nothing — other than the 2016 presidential election and harvest — captures Nebraskans’ collective worry more than Husker football.

Is this really a top-15 team? A top-10 team? A top-25 team?

When pundits pick Indiana to upset the Huskers on Saturday — and count on some pundit doing that — is that a commentary on the game itself, or Nebraska’s standing in the world of pundits who have zero effect on wins and losses? Those worries are especially big in a bye week when Nebraska’s “best win” — Oregon — loses 70-21 at home to Washington.
