King Named Captain for 21-2022 Season



The Nebraska men’s gymnastics team announced their captain selection for the 2022 season. Coach Chuck Chmelka, who enters his 13th season, announced the team and coaches voted this fall and selected Dillan King to lead the team for the upcoming season. 

Dillan King enters his senior year as a leader in the gym and the classroom. King has competed in the NCAA Team Qualifiers and Finals in 2019 and 2021 on parallel bars and high bar, helping the Huskers to a third-place finish in 2019 and fourth-place finish in 2021. King also received CGA Regular-Season All-America honors for his performance throughout the 2021 season on high bar. King has claimed three individual titles throughout his season. He has also been named a CGA All-America Scholar-Athlete and been a member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. King is a leader in the community earning a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship team for his dedication to serving the Lincoln community. 

King looks to lead the team back to the NCAA Championship Finals after finishing fourth in 2021.
