Instant Reaction: Nebraska Beats Fordham 52-7

It started out terrible, but ended up not too bad.

Here’s my instant reaction to Nebraska’s 52-7 win over Fordham.

It was a terrible start to the game. Our beloved Huskers looked flat and uninterested.

Nebraska fumbled. Had to punt. Fordham scored. Then things changed.

Adrian Martinez became an accurate quarterback that made good decisions. Other guys came to play – guys like Markese Stepp, Samori Toure, Austin Allen, and Omar Manning.

Somebody named Chancellor Brewington scored a touchdown for Nebraska. Jaquez Yant got into the game.

A quarterback not named Martinez played and Nebraska racked up over 600 yards of offense.

It wasn’t so bad after all.

Jon has a book out!

On August 21st, 2015, Jon unexpectedly dropped dead of a widowmaker heart attack. He was shocked five times on the way to the hospital with no response. He was shocked two more times in the ER. He was dead for over 20 minutes. A stent was placed, and he was induced into a coma. In January 2016 Jon received a second stent and in June he was diagnosed with an anoxic brain injury.

He wrote a book about death and recovery. The title, “Been Dead, Never Been To Europe” reflects the ironic nature of life, what happens versus what we want to happen. It’s available at Amazon in Kindle and Paperback.
