In response to the Hoiberg poll, you are the AD at the end of the season and have a decision to make. Do you keep him or do you fire him?

Let’s say hypothetically speaking a booster does step up to pay for it. Said booster is nameless except to you. Booster says “since I’m paying for this, I want access to the coaching search (but only in basketball)”. The booster in question has very little basketball knowledge other than what they’ve seen and the time they spent riding the bench in high school. At best they’re an armchair analyst but has the means to fund a top level power five coaching search.

If you’re the AD, do you do it? Probably a dumb question but curious as to everyone’s thoughts and opinions.

FWIW I wouldn’t fire him. I don’t know enough about basketball myself, and I wouldn’t know where to start. I also wouldn’t let an outsider have that much say into such a big decision. I think the best course of action would be contract restructuring like Frost.
