In regards to the sub rules and COVID related stuff

We’ll be removing COVID posts that don’t directly impact or relate to the Huskers. We’re just starting to get too many “player has covid”, “school is closing” posts. If you want general news like that for college football, /r/cfb is where it’s at.

If you want to discuss COVID things in comments that’s fine, but remember NO POLITICS. We don’t consider facts to be political, so if you’re trying to make a point, it needs to be able to backed up by a credible source.

As for political comments, we’ll still be removing them but we’re going to start issuing temp bans, or permanent ones to repeat offenders.

We definitely understand everything is heated right now and sometimes it’s easy to stray into a political discussion, but we personally want one damn place where we all can chat and discuss things, and not have to get political. Up until now we had just been trying to remove them and let it slide, but it’s getting to be too frequent.

Also, remember that we don’t allow name calling. That means anyone, not just insults directed at other users. So people in the media, players, coaches, etc. We get that’s tough sometimes because there are times where it really feels deserved. However, if we try to use our discretion on when you can/can’t do it, we inevitably get yelled at by angry users because we removed one thing and not the other, so we’re just going to be pretty strict on that as well.
