Huskers Start Strong on Day One



 

Jonesboro, Ark – After the first day of the Mid-Winter Invitational, the Nebraska bowling team sits in the first place, with a 4-1 record and total pinfall of 5,475.

The Huskers began the tournament with a victory against No. 15 Tulane (1,137-1,031). In match two, Nebraska faced off against Tusculum and took their second win of the day (1,187-935). Maintaining momentum, NU took on Kentucky Wesleyan and claimed another win (1,102-807). The Huskers fell in match four against the McKendree Bearcats (994-1,058). To end the day, Nebraska faced No. 7 Arkansas St and secured another victory (1,056-928).

Nebraska will begin traditional-style tomorrow against Alabama A&M. They will then play against Jackson St., Maryville, Youngstown St., and Wisconsin Whitewater.

The tournament will resume with five traditional games at 9:40 am Saturday.
