Huskers Sign Three Wrestlers to Class of 2022



Nebraska head coach Mark Manning announced the addition of Jacob Van Dee, Harley Andrews and Antrell Taylor on Wednesday who are set to join the Huskers for the 2022-23 season.

Jacob Van Dee

Erie, Pa. (Cathedral Prep)

A 2021 Pennsylvania state champion at 113, Van Dee will join the Huskers after his senior season at Erie Cathedral Prep High School. A three-time state qualifier and two-time state medalist, Van Dee finished second at 106 pounds at the 2020 Pennsylvania (PIAA) Class 3A championships. The PIAA wrestling champion went 18-1 last season and has a three-year mark of 92-20.

 

Harley Andrews
Tuttle, Okla. (Tuttle)

A 2020 and 2021 Oklahoma state champion at 195 and 220, Harley Andrews will join the Huskers after his senior season at Tuttle High School. Andrews is currently ranked No. 6 at 285 by FloWrestling. In 2019, Andrews was a 16U freestyle national finalist and an Oklahoma state runner-up at 160. Andrews captured the 2019 Preseason and Mid-American Nationals titles and placed third at the KC Stampede. The two-time state champion helped his high school to its 13th-straight state tournament crown and 12th consecutive dual state title in 2021. Additionally, Andrews was a part of Tuttle’s 2018 Oklahoma state championship football team.

 

Antrell Taylor
Omaha, Neb. (Millard South)
 
Antrell Taylor is a two-time Nebraska Class A state champion and is ranked No. 6 in his weight class by FloWrestling. After a second-place finish at state his freshman year, Taylor went on to win the title in 2020 at 145 pounds and 2021 at 160 pounds. This past offseason, Taylor finished fifth at the UWW Cadet World Team Trials and outscored his opponents 69-0 and went 7-0 at the Ultimate Club Duals. He will join the Huskers after his senior season at Millard South.
