Huskers Set for B1G Media Days



The Nebraska men’s and women’s basketball teams will take center stage at Big Ten Basketball Media Days at the Target Center in Minneapolis on Wednesday.

The massive production from the home of the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves and WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx will feature nearly 12 hours of Big Ten Network live programming Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Wednesday, Oct. 12. The Target Center also will be the home of the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament (March 1-5) for the first time in 2023, with the men set to join the women in Minneapolis in 2024. The 2023 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament will be held in Chicago (March 8-13).

Coverage will include press conferences for all 28 Big Ten men’s and women’s basketball coaches, as well as Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren.

Nebraska will be a focus on Wednesday in Minneapolis, as head coaches Amy Williams and Fred Hoiberg will take the podium back-to-back beginning with Williams at 8:50 a.m. and Hoiberg at 9 a.m. (CT).

The Big Ten Network’s live coverage will include three hours of press conference coverage on Tuesday (8-11 a.m. CT), followed by three hours of live one-on-one interviews and coverage (11 a.m.-2 p.m. CT), all as part of B1G Live. Wednesday’s B1G Live coverage begins at 8:30 a.m. (CT).

Dave Revsine, Andy Katz and Rapheal Davis will coordinate the BTN studio interviews on the men’s side, while Mike Hall, Christy Winters-Scott and Meghan McKeown will orchestrate the women’s coverage on B1G Live.

Coach Williams and All-Big Ten Huskers Alexis Markowski and Jaz Shelley are scheduled to appear with Hall, Winters-Scott and McKeown on B1G Live from 11:50 to Noon (CT) on Wednesday. Other coverage highlights for the Huskers will include interviews with Sirius XM and NCAA.com along with stops at ESPN and BTN for features developed during the season.

Coach Hoiberg and Huskers Sam Griesel and Derrick Walker are set to appear with Revsine, Katz and Davis on B1G Live from 12:20 to 12:30 p.m. (CT) on Wednesday. Other coverage highlights for the Big Red will include interviews with Sirius XM and NCAA.com, along with feature stops on CBS, ESPN, FOX and BTN’s The Journey.

 

In addition to live television, all coverage can be streamed via tablet or mobile device via the Fox Sports App. Expansive coverage will also available on BTN’s Twitter, Facebook YouTube and Instagram pages.
