Huskers Second Heading into Final Day of SFA Ladyjack Motiv Classic



Kenosha, Wis. – The Huskers finished day two of the SFA LadyJack Motiv Classic 4-1, with a total pinfall of 10,217 to earn the number two seed for Sunday’s bracket play.

Nebraska started the day by taking their first game against Marian (947-931). The Huskers went up against Wisconsin-Whitewater and took another win by a score of 1,069-976. After falling to McKendree (954-998), Nebraska bounced back to beat Stephen F. Austin by a score of 1,089-960. The Huskers ended the day with a final win against Lewis (1,038-843).

In individual play, Senior Cassidy Ray led the Huskers in seventh place with a pinfall of 1,067. Behind her sits Kayla Verstraete in 11th (1,058), who bowled seven consecutive strikes against Stephen F. Austin. Not far behind sits Crystal Elliott in 18th (1,037) and Gwen Maeha in 21st (1,027). 

Tournament play will begin at 8:30 am (CT) tomorrow morning where the Huskers will face off against the number one seed, McKendree.
