Harry Crockett fired a final round 67 (-5) and Jeremy Sisson set multiple career-highs to lead the Nebraska men’s golf team to a 9th place finish at the White Sands Invitational on Sunday.
A final-round 283 (-3) was not enough for the Huskers, who were unable to keep up with tournament champions Duke. The nationally ranked Blue Devils finished with an astonishing three-round aggregate score of 823 (-41).
Sisson’s sixth place finish marked a career high for the junior, whose previous best finish was 18th (Rich Harvest Farms, 10/4/21). Sisson also notched his second top-25 effort in four tournaments this fall, which matches his career total coming into this year. He also tied his career best with a 68 (-4) in Saturday’s round, marking the second time he has done that this fall. His 54-hole score of 207 also set a new career-best, beating his previous career-best of 214 by seven strokes.

His 54-hole score of 210 also beat his previous mark of 213, which he set at the Purdue Fall Invite on Oct. 10-11.
