The Nebraska women’s soccer team welcomed five new players on Nov. 10. The group includes three athletes from Nebraska, one from Minnesota and one from Canada.
Lauryn Anglim
LaVista, Neb. (Papillion-LaVista High School)
Gretna Elite Academy
Defender/Midfielder
Lauryn Anglim played for Coach April Kelcher at Papillion-LaVista High School and is joined in the signing class by teammate Ella Guyott. She led her team to a state tournament appearance in 2019. She also earned a varsity soccer letter. Anglim played club for the Elite Girls Academy before she switched to the Gretna Elite Academy, where she is coached by Mitch Kavanagh. There, her team went to the ECNL playoffs in 2021. As a part of the Gretna Elite Academy, she was selected to play in the ECNL National Selection Game in 2021 and was a member of the ECNL Midwest Conference second team in 2020-21. She was also the captain of her team. Academically, she earned honorable-mention her freshman and junior year of high school and earned Academic All-State honors in 2021. She was also a Summa Cum Laude. Anglim comes from a Husker family, as her brother, Garrett Anglim, is a redshirt freshman on the Husker baseball team.
Anglim on Nebraska: “I chose Nebraska because of the top-notch facilities, and as a kid who grew up in Nebraska, it has always been a dream to wear an N on my jersey.”
Lauren Buzzell
St. Francis, Minn. (St. Francis High School)

Lauren Buzzell comes to Nebraska from St. Francis High School in St. Francis, Minn., where she is coached by Joan Johnson. Buzzell’s team was Section 6AA Champions and state quarterfinalists in 2021. Individually, Buzzell was named the 2021 Mississippi 8 Conference Player of the Year. She also started and played in 68 games and recorded 12 career goals and seven career assists. Her team recorded 35 shutouts in her high school career. Buzzell was a three-time All-Conference and two-time All-State honorable-mention. In 2021, she was a Class 2AA first-team all-state honoree and a Class 2AA Ms. Soccer finalist. During the club season, Buzzell plays for Coach Edi Buro at Manitou FC. She was a five-year captain and helped the team to a U.S. Club National Championship in 2018. Buzzell is also successful in the classroom, as she earned the MSHSCA Academic Excellence Award in 2019, 2020, and 2021. She plans to major in criminal justice at UNL.
Buzzell on Nebraska: “I was really attracted to the high level of soccer and Nebraska’s reputation for developing their players. I was amazed by their facilities and the commitment of the support staff. Academically, the school has everything I’m looking for and with the time I spent with the team, I knew it was right for me.”
Ella Guyott
Papillion, Neb. (Papillion-LaVista High School)

Papillion native Ella Guyott is one of two Papillion-LaVista Monarchs to sign with the Huskers, as she is joined by teammate Lauryn Anglim. She plays for Mitch Kavanaugh at the Gretna Elite Academy, and her team finished as State Cup finalists in 2017 and 2018. Guyott was a ECNL Midwest Conference first-team honoree in 2020-21. Guyott was also an honor roll student every semester of high school and a member of her school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. Guyott will major in nutrition and health sciences at UNL.
Guyott on Nebraska: “I chose Nebraska because of the focus on player development, the amazing facilities they have to offer their athletes and the team-first mentality.”
Emma Prososki
Omaha, Neb. (Marian High School)
Gretna Elite Academy

Emma Prososki is a midfielder who went to Omaha Marian High School. She is coached by Teresa DeGeorge. In her high school career, she has a total of 14 goals and four assists. Her team was the state runner-up in 2019 and a state semifinalist in 2021. Her 2020 season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Individually, Prososki earned a varsity letter in 2018-21, was a LJS Class A All-State honoree, a LJS Super State second-team honoree, an OWH All-Class Metro first-team honoree, an OWH Class A All-Nebraska second-team honoree in 2021. She also participated in cross country in high school and lettered in 2018. Academically, she has been a member of the Honor Roll from 2018-21 and was an NSAA Academic All-State Honoree in 2021. She also was a member of the National Honor Society in 2020-21. As a member of the Gretna Elite Academy, Prososki is coached by Mitch Kavanagh and helped her team to a Nebraska State Cup Championship in 2017. Her team was also a Cup A ECNL National Semifinalist in 2021, and she has been selected to attend the 2018 ECNL CSP Midwest Training Camp, 2018 ECNL/id2 National Training Camp and the 2019 ECNL CSP Midwest Regional Camp.
Prososki on Nebraska: “The atmosphere at Nebraska is unmatched. From academics to athletics, the program emphasizes development and encourages excellence. As I became more familiar with the school and the soccer program, I knew Nebraska was the place for me. Not only is the coaching staff great, but the facilities at Nebraska are incredible. I can’t wait to be a part of the Husker program!”
Sadie Waite
St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada (Parkside Collegiate Institute)

Midfielder
Sadie Waite joins the Huskers from St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. She is a midfielder who plays club soccer for Coach Mike Macoccia at FC London. She was also given the opportunity to attend U17 National Team Camps. She was a part of the Ontario REX program with current Husker Florence Belzile for many years. Waite earned academic honors in grades 9-11 and plans to major in business and marketing at Nebraska.
Waite on Nebraska: “I chose Nebraska because from the very first call that I had with Coach Walker, I knew that this school was for me. The way that he had spoken about the culture of both the team and the university made me feel like there was no other option. The programs that they offer from both an academic and athletic standpoint are unmatched by any other school in the country. The support from the fans and the state of Nebraska makes the university feel like a second home to me. I am so beyond grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to start my new journey for the next four years!”
