Husker Freshman DB Myles Farmer Cited for Possession of Marijuana

Myles Farmer, a freshman safety on the Nebraska football team, was cited for possession of marijuana late Monday night, around 11:30 p.m. at the University Suites located on UNL’s city campus.

University Police officer Russell Johnson told KLIN that a “nominal” amount of marijuana, about two grams, was found in Farmer’s dorm room.

The University of Nebraska Athletic Department told KLKN-TV in a statement that they were “aware of the situation and are addressing it.”

Farmer, a 6-foot-3, 205 pound player out of Atlanta, Georgia, is a part of NU’s 2019 recruiting class. During his senior season at Westlake High School, Farmer was named to the all-region first team after earning a spot on the second-team in his junior year.

Farmer’s citation is the latest in a recent string of marijuana related citations since the conclusion of spring ball. Earlier this month, senior Jeremiah Stovall was cited for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop. Also last month, Sophomore running back Maurice Washington was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and freshman wide receiver/running back Wan’Dale Robinson was cited for marijuana possession as well.
