Husker basketball secures third commitment for 2018 class

The Nebraska men’s basketball team picked up a 2018 point guard commit on Thursday.

Point guard Amir Harris from Hagerstown, Maryland became the third member of the Huskers’ 2018 class. Harris is 6-foot-5, and a consensus three-star prospect. He was a former Rhode Island commit, but reopened his recruitment in October.

Harris’ only official visits were to Nebraska and Auburn. He also had offers from Oklahoma State, Cal and several others. The Huskers have only one scholarship remaining in this class.

Nebraska has had a productive spring. On top of Harris’ commitment, the Huskers added Robert Morris transfer Dachon Burke to the fold on April 26, and hired assistant coach Armon Gates on May 4.
