Frosted Flakes: The “Nebrasketball is Just Fine” edition

Last night the Nebraska men’s basketball team was dealt another tough road loss in Iowa City. The Cyclones Hawkeyes came out playing like their hair was on fire and caught Nebraska flat footed. While the Cornhuskers were never truly out of the game, they gave themselves little room to get back in.

We are still early in the basketball season. There is a lot of games left to play. I wouldn’t get down on this team just yet. Many very good teams across the nation struggle throughout the year. Very few make it without a few losses. Were these past two road games to top tier teams? No, they weren’t. But they do not have to be either.

The Huskers have probably the most talented squad in over a decade. These kids hate to lose as much as you and I. Tim Miles and the coaching staff are in the same boat. No one wants these games to get out of hand.

Winning on the road is tough anywhere. Some even believe that it’s even tougher to win in the Big Ten. Schools like Minnesota, Indiana, and Purdue are known for having an intense home atmosphere for teams to play in. Yes, even Iowa is a tough place to play.
