Fan Details For Opening Night Event



Lincoln – The Husker men’s and women’s programs will open the 2021-22 season this evening with Opening Night for Husker Hoops.
 
Tonight’s event is the first Husker basketball event with fans in Lincoln since March 1, 2020, and features scrimmages by both the Husker men’s and women’s teams, team introductions and a post-scrimmage performance by platinum-selling recording artist G Herbo. CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein will serve as the emcee.
 
Fans can still claim their free tickets for tonight by visiting Huskers.com/Tickets. In addition, tickets will be available at the Pinnacle Bank Arena Ticket Office beginning at 6:30 p.m. Here are a few other fan reminders for tonight’s event. 

  • Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with Opening Night starting at 7:30 p.m. A schedule of events is at the bottom of this release.
  • Fans who claimed tickets should download their tickets to their digital wallet before arriving at Pinnacle Bank Arena to expedite the process.
  • As with all of Nebraska’s athletic events, the clear bag policy is in effect. For more on the clear bag policy, visit this link
  • Fans who have lower bowl tickets should enter from the main concourse. For fans entering from the south main lobby, the escalators and steps will provide access to the main concourse.  The north entrance is already at concourse level and can be reached by the pedestrian bridge on the east side of the arena. 
  • All of the concession stands around Pinnacle Bank Arena have transitioned to cashless operations to limit touch points.
  • With the Lancaster County Health Department’s Directed Health Measure in place until Oct. 28, all patrons must wear a mask while indoors at Pinnacle Bank Arena.  If patrons are eating or drinking concessions food & beverages they can remove or pull down their mask while eating or drinking, but they need to re-mask again after eating and drinking.

7:45 p.m. –         Women’s 15-minute scrimmage
8 p.m. –                Men’s Team Introductions, Remarks from Coach Hoiberg and Players
8:25 p.m. –         Men’s Scrimmage
9:30 p.m. –         G Herbo Performance
