A commitment from Nebraska’s 2025 class has opted to reopen his recruiting process.
CJ Simon, a wide receiver from Moore, Oklahoma, announced on X Tuesday night that he was leaving NU’s class.
After careful consideration, prayers, and conversations with my family, I have decided to announce that I will be decommiting from the University of Nebraska. I would like to thank the coaches and staff for giving me an opportunity.

“After careful consideration, prayers, and conversations with my family, I have decided to announce that I will be decommiting from the University of Nebraska,” Simon wrote on X.
The 5-foot-11, 155-pounder – a three-star prospect according to several recruiting services – committed to the Huskers Dec. 2.
Nebraska now has three commits in its 2025 class. All three come from inside the state.
